Groundmaking provides creative strategy and video production services for design practices and people on a mission.
I started Groundmaking in an effort to chart my own creative course. For reasons I still don’t fully understand, my creative north star has always been filmmaking. I can remember making videos with my three siblings using my parents 1982 JCPenney VHS Video Camera, mostly silly skits for birthdays and holidays. In high school, I would try to make videos as a substitute for my assignments — because who likes to write papers, right?
Groundmaking has been my way to scratch a reoccurring itch, to combine the craft of filmmaking with a love of architecture, design, and technology.
In our recent work, we have collaborated with large organizations like Google and the United States GSA, but have also worked with technology startups, architecture firms and even local nonprofits. The process and people behind each project is unique and always pushes the work even further.
But enough about that. What about you? What's your story?
