Groundmaking produced this virtual fundraiser for Descanso Gardens in 2020. Descanso Gardens is a unique Southern California landscape distinguished by its specialized botanic collections, historical significance, and rare natural beauty.

In a “normal” year, over 750,000 visitors enjoy the Gardens annually. A significant portion of this attendance comes from the busy spring season, as well as the holiday light event, Enchanted Forest of Light. In 2020, due to the pandemic, Descanso closed its doors during the peak of spring bloom, from mid-March to mid-May, and canceled its annual light show Enchanted. These two closures had an impact on our budget, as admission fees and Enchanted tickets represent a significant portion of our operating revenue.
